HMS Ark Royal 1939 (kit).
Ark Royal Class Fleet Aircraft Carrier of World War II, built by Cammell Laird at Birkenhead, completed in late 1938. Battle honours included Norway 1940, Mediterranean 1940/41, Bismarck 1941, Malta convoys 1941. Struck by torpedo on 13/11/41, Ark Royal sank the next day despite efforts to keep her afloat.
